Reverse osmosis technology
The RO membrane is designed to help reduce a large proportion of dissolved solids.
Post-treatment helps refine the taste and final quality of the water.
Reverse osmosis can help reduce fluoride under the specified operating conditions.
RO technology can help reduce certain metals present in water.
The first stages help retain particles before the RO membrane.
Filtration
SPRING uses a main WF-FCR 2-in-1 composite cartridge with activated carbon fibre and an RO membrane, followed by a WF-SC alkaline-mineral post-treatment cartridge. The two replacement intervals are different.
2-in-1 composite cartridge combining activated carbon fibre and a reverse-osmosis membrane.
Alkaline carbon fibre and minerals refine taste and adjust pH after reverse osmosis.
Required before first use and after every replacement.
System data
The published specifications reflect the information currently documented for this system.
Maintenance
WF-FCR: about 12 months or 900 to 1,000 gallons, depending on water quality and use. WF-SC: about 3 months according to the cartridge documentation.
Turn off and unplug the device before maintenance. Replace each cartridge using the provided mechanism, confirm that it is locked, then complete a flushing cycle before drinking.
Before first use
SPRING treats initially potable water. Do not use it as the sole method of making unsafe or unknown water potable. Hot water can reach a high temperature; supervise children.
Installation and maintenance in accordance with the instructions help the system operate properly.
Depending on the system
Actual results vary with water quality, installation, flow rate and maintenance.
